Hey, I’ll be doing this thing this Thursday! Should be funn!
The next installment of Portland’s live comic book reading series features Zack Soto, Douglas Wolk, and Jeannette Langmead! The show is Thursday, March 13 at 8pm at the Jack London (529 SW 4th, in the basement of the Rialto), $3-5 sliding scale. ZACK SOTO is the creator of The Secret Voice, publisher of Study Group Comics, and co-founder of Portland’s newest comics festival, Linework NW. DOUGLAS WOLK is a writer who reviews comics and music for The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and other fancy places. At Comics Underground, he’ll be presenting his new miniseries Judge Dredd: Mega-City Two along with the rest of the creative team, artist Ulises Farinas and colorist Ryan Hill. JEANNETTE LANGMEAD makes “kid stuff for growns” at her website CatsAreGross.com, where in addition to customizable paper dolls and science workbooks, you’ll find autobiographical comics about dating, living abroad, and more. More info: http://comicsunderground.com/

Paul Wilson, Snyder, Sean E. Williams, Brian Keene, Jody Leheup, Nate Southard, Thomas Boatwright, Ed Brisson, Paul Tobin, Valerie D’Orazio, and Marguerite Bennett, art by Drew Moss, Tyler Jenkins, Christine Larsen, Mike Henderson, Damien Worm, Nate Powell, Stephen Green, Zack Soto, Mack Chater, Eryk Donovan, Richard P. Clark, Matt Smith, Andy Belanger, Dalibor Talajic, Alison Sampson, Tadd Galusha, Christian DiBari, Mark Laming, Brian Level, Robert WIlson IV, Marc Laming, David James Cole, Jonathan Brandon Sawyer, and others, plus old-time ads, pin-ups, a history of horror comics… it’s an impressive book and amazing effort by Rachel to get this all done. Very happy we’re publishing this one.

Hey, I’m in this! It looks like it’s gonna be a good’un!
